Hello! I am Rosa, originally from the Netherlands. In 2018, I bought an ancient wine domaine with my then partner. Built in 1850, nestled in the middle of vineyards with breathtaking views. This paradise is located in a beautiful area next to the river Orb, and I have completely fallen in love with this region.

Before settling here, we traveled extensively. An unexpected event allowed me to purchase this property, and I envisioned sharing it with the many friends we met along the way.

I have always had a strong desire for independence and freedom. Running an off-grid, autonomous place is a dream come true. I enjoy hands-on work, whether it’s gardening, maintaining the land, or building things with recycled materials.

Off-grid means we are not connected to public utilities for electricity, gas, or water. We generate electricity from solar panels and get our water from a natural source.

Over the past two years, we’ve been busy establishing an eco-friendly vegetable garden and learning a lot about permaculture. We hope to offer our guests fresh, delicious vegetables soon. The next goal is to have chickens for fresh eggs.

I have many more sustainable ideas, such as creating a rainwater collection system, planting more trees, and growing ingredients for natural cosmetics. My vision is to consume less, produce healthy food, recycle everything, create a biodiverse environment, and live in harmony with nature, especially considering the current state of the global environment.

I am excited to share this vision and my paradise with you. I’m open-minded, non-judgmental, and very approachable. I’m happy to explain anything you would like to know about this lifestyle. Of course, I will also share our knowledge of the area and give you tips on the best spots to visit.
